"It's a great time for the Church to be real. We're not trying to keep it real, we are being real."

The Bridge, Part III

This weekend, we learned that Jesus is the bridge to authenticity. When we are open and honest with God, he will meet us and make us whole. When we meet with God, open with all our faults, all our failures, mess-ups, He will deliver us from our sins.

Tune In:

Read these passages to prepare for this week's discussion.

• 1 John 1:7-9

• Psalm 51

• Luke 18:9-14

Go Deep:

• Take a moment to discuss the testimony video from this weekend. What spoke to you? What resonated with you?

• What does it mean to you to "be formed into the image of Christ?"

• How can we be more real with each other? Our families? Our children? This Lifegroup?

Live Out:

Take an honest inventory of your life this week. Ask yourself these questions:

•In what ways am I like the Pharisee in?

•In what ways can I be more like the tax collector?

Be honest with yourself in this moment. Be real. If you need to talk to someone, find a trusted friend or pastor or a prayer team member. Just like we saw in the testimony videos his past weekend, healing happens when we shine light on our dark places.
